When a growing tree pushed this deck 4 inches sideways, the homeowners didn't want to lose the tree or their shade. Instead of a costly total tear-out, we trimmed the frame around the trunk, shifted the deck back into alignment, moved and added new footings, and laid fresh decking on top.
